DOUBT

Not the movie, but doubting in general... LIKE AS IN: Do I look good in black?!

Man, that's a toughie. And you probably do. BUT ONLY. If you don't overdo it. (And NO I'm NOT singling any specific person out for this) An example of overdoing it: Black hair, black shirt, black pants, black shoes - for girls add black nail polish, black eyeliner, black mascara - and black socks!

MY GOD that's horrific! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much black! It should be used in moderation, for example a black shirt and jeans, but not overly done.

Oh, and for those of you with piercings who favor the color black. The next time you see something you want try for a color that complements black, like neon green, and wear it with a black shirt. Or get a bunch of things that complement black and wear them together, for example: a neon purple, neon green, neon orange fusion/smashup would look good.

Don't forget it depends on placement, and the shades/tones.

I'll leave you to gnaw on this the next time you're going to buy that SOLID BLACK OUTFIT.

Black head removal

OK, I this feels like its working right now so if you want to try it here it is!

OK mix 2 tbs of yogurt with the following: 1 tbs honey, 2 tbs of salt and 1 tbs of lemon juce.

Apply to blackhead affected areas, and in ten min you can wash it off with luke warm water! (Make it at night before you go to bed and put it in the refrigerator until the next morning, take it out and press really warm water to your face then apply it)

Good luck!

A possible Tip?

I do have a tip for you, actually I have several, but I don't know if I should post them because they're not facial masks, and the tips are more towards advice and they're not exactly how-to's...

Maybe if I learned some how-to's it'd be more like the stuff on the blog, but what I DO have to share is some basic advice, a little knowhow, and some awesome clothing tips. Do you wanna know? It's ok if you don't, you can just skip this post.

And NO I will NOT endorse a product of ANY kind in this post. Just thought you should know.

Regarding the clothing tips: Since summer is coming up it getting hotter! (Duh!) But if you don't have or can't get some cool new shorts to show off and brag about you can make some! It's extremely easy and can be done in about a half-hour. (trust me on this, I've done it) All you need is a pair of pants you want to be shorts, a sewing machine (preferably) or if you don't have a sewing machine you can do this by hand (but it takes TONS longer and doesn't look as good) sewing chalk (to mark) a pair of scissors some pins and thread!

First! Get the pants and put them on, use the chalk to mark where you want to cut them, take them off and cut them!

Second! Fold the cut edge inwards so that it's hidden and use the pins to hold it in place. Take the pants to the sewing machine, and when you start sewing make sure you start on the inside (It looks better if you screw up) and also don't sew the legs together!

That's it! And it's really that simple. If you want to add iron-ons or stuff like that feel free!

About the knowhow and basic advice, I guess it'll have to wait untill next post. Until then :)

Baking Soda Mask to Fight Acne
This is so easy to make and can work wonders if your skin likes it. (Remember, not every cause of acne is the same, so you need to try different remedies and masks until you find the ones that work for you.)

All you need are two ingredients. Baking Soda (NOT baking powder) and water.

Mix a little together in your hands after washing your face with a mild cleanser and apply gently to your skin. Once you've coated your face with the baking soda and water mix, let it sit while you do other things around the house, or relax and read a book.

Rinse the baking soda film off your face and feel how soft and clear it feels. If your skin enjoys this recipe, and your acne improves, then you may try it several times a week to help clear your acne.

OHM

The best part is that, not only can you make "OHM" in a snap, but it feels great on the skin. Enjoy!!

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons finely powdered oats
1 tablespoon runny honey
2 tablespoons warm whipping cream
2 drops myrtle essential oil
4 drops lavender essential oil

Blending Procedure:

Warm the whipping cream in a microwave. Do not burn or boil it, just warm it lightly for about 15-20 seconds.

Combine the honey and whipping cream and stir well to dissolve honey. Add oats and stir. Let sit for 5 minutes.

Add essential oils and stir again to ensure the mix. To use, wet face and scoop "OHM" into palms. Secure hair away from face. Apply to face and neck using upward, sweeping motions, and gentle, circular motions to clean the skin. Repeat if desired (or just because you like the way it feels!) Rinse well and follow with toner and moisturizer.

The shelf life of this product is necessarily limited by the fresh cream. You can store it in a tightly closed container in the refrigerator for as long as you would safely store fresh cream in the refrigerator. Check the "use by" date on the cream carton you use for an idea of how long the product would remain fresh in the refrigerator

Salt and cream cleanser scrub

1
First cleanse your face thoroughly. Use cleansing cream, soap and water, whichever you prefer or is best for your skin.

2
Put about a teaspoon of cleansing cream in the middle of your left hand (if right handed).

3
Now pour salt on top of the blop of cream in your hand - about 2 teaspoons. Mix them together until you have a nice gritty paste.

4
Apply the mixture to your face in a circular motion (always circle up) pay close attention to the side of the nose and any little lines or dry spots. Be careful around the eyes, salt in the eye can sting - just flush.

Egg facial mask.

1
Crack the egg and put it a bowl. Whip it with a fork just like you are making scrambled eggs. Make sure it is mixed well.

Step 2
Next apply it to your face using your hand, a paper towel or anything else if you don't want to use your hand. Make sure you get it on your whole face and apply it evenly.

Step 3
Let it dry for 20-40 mins. You will feel the egg hardening. When you feel the egg is completely dry and begins to crack remove by washing your face with water or showering. Reveal a healthier more beautiful face. This is the easiest and cheapest solution for healthier skin

3 steps to clean your pores.

1. Wash your face in the hottest water that you can possibly stand. Get a large washcloth wet with this super hot water and hold it over your face till it cools and repeat this process several times to open your pores and clean them out. You must use water that is so hot you can barely stand it for this to work. The steam is helpful in pulling out bacteria from your pores. After this process go to step 3.

2. Immediately after completing step 2, wash your face, still with hot water, with a facial soap with moisturiser Keeping your skin moisturized without clogging your pores is important.

3. Continue this process as many times daily as possible. You will only get zits when your skin is oily and the oils clog your pores causing bacteria and inflammation. Yuck! So closing them up after they have been properly cleaned out is ideal.

The right way to apply blush.

The right way to blush:

Smile or suck in your cheeks to locate the apples of your cheeks. Begin at the center of the apple and apply blush up to the corner of the eye and the temple. Blush should never go below the bottom of your nose, or any closer in than the iris of your eye. Applying blush high on the face makes your eyes sparkle.

After applying blush, blend with a dry makeup sponge. Use the edge of the sponge like an eraser on the outer edges of the applied blush to buff away any lines of demarcation.

Never apply blush below the cheekbones. This tripe of color only creates an illusion that brings the face down and makes you look older.

When the seasons change, change your blush! Deeper, rich colors for fall and winter, paler tines for spring and summer.

Note for oily skin: Excess oil causes the skin to grab color causing your blush to darken as the day goes on. Avoid this by powdering often, not with blush but with pressed translucent powder.

A woman's survival kit.

Different situations may call for suitable actions, so consider your destination and any possible snafus that may come up while you are there.

At a very bare minimum, your beauty survival kit should include the following:

Clear lip gloss or chapstick
- No matter how kissably soft you know your lips are, it can never hurt to add some moisture and shine with a deliciously flavored lip gloss. Applying gloss in front of your date may even entice him to test out your soft and supple lips!

Dental floss and toothpick
- A single strand of floss coiled up and tucked away can really save the day in case your romantic candlelit dinner for two becomes a dinner for three, if you count the broccoli between your teeth as a single entity! A toothpick may also be a good item to include for dental hygiene purposes away from home.

Mini mouthwash
- Fresh breath in an instant! Just take a small swig of mouthwash after dinner or before you head out the door. Chase the taste of your lunch, dinner or even strong coffee away with a quick rinse with some minty mouthwash.

Mini trial size perfume spritzer
- Freshen up anytime you like by carrying a miniature purse-sized fragrance spritzer with you. Scent is often considered the sense most tied to memory, so let your fragrance linger and leave a lasting impression wherever you go!

Hairspray or gel
- Long events often leave much room for hair calamities to engage by the end of the night. If you simply can't stand to have a single hair out of place, it is in your best interests to pack a miniature bottle of hairspray or gel. Just a spritz here or a dab there will fix any potential problems before anyone else even notices!

Tissues
- You never know when your allergies might act up or a sudden event may cause the waterworks to spring a leak. By prepared to sop up any unexpected tears with a few tissues packed handily inside your pocketbook.

Miniature bottle of lotion
- Whether dry hands or peeling skin from harsh sunburn ail you, ward off any unsightly flakes with a few drops of your favorite lotion in a travel-sized bottle. In the dire absence of hairspray or gel, you can also use a tiny bit of lotion to smooth down fly-aways and cowlicks.

For more exclusive events and outings, you may wish to include:
Extra pantyhose or at least clear nail polish The last thing you want to deal with is a runner in your pantyhose when you're off to nail that job interview so you can get your foot in the door of your dream occupational field. Worse yet, imagine being in the bridal party with short gowns and a foot-long runner from just above your ankle to your knee! Always be prepared, even if it means stashing an extra pair of hose in your car's glove box.

Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Keeping your choppers a pretty pearly white can really be a daunting task if you are on the run all the time. Why not buy an extra toothbrush and tube of toothpaste to keep with you in your car, or in your purse when you know you'll need it? Fresh breath and clean teeth can be yours all the time, even if it does mean brushing away in the office restroom!

How to pop a White head without scarring

Step 1
Assess the popping situation. Only pimples with pus, known as a whitehead, can be popped. Trying to coax some ooze out of an under the skin blemish is very painful and will leave a scar.

Step 2
Wash your face and hands.

Step 3
Steam open your pores. This can be done in the shower, applying a hot wet washcloth compress (heated in the microwave works well) for a few minutes or holding the face over a pot of steaming water for a few minutes.

Step 4
Wipe the area with gauze or cotton ball soaked with rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. The pimple may be seeping by this point or completely popped.

Step 5
Wrap both index fingers with gauze or tissue. Using the fingers and looking in a magnifying mirror, apply pressure with fingers pushing down on either side of the pimple causing the pus to pop up and out. Alternatively, an extractor, an instrument with two loops on either end similar in size to an eyebrow tweezer (available at beauty supply stores), can be used to apply pressure.

Step 6
Apply more pressure if pus remains. If that doesn't work, steam your face again and repeat process. (The washcloth in the microwave is the most expedient method.) A sterilized tweezers is handy to pull out remaining pus, as sometimes it is hard or string like.

Step 7
Check to make sure all the pus is gone. There will be a hole or a red (blood) dot. Wipe area with rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.

Step 8
Place an ice cube on the now former whitehead. This closes the pores.

Step 9
Apply a small amount of Vitamin E on spot to prevent scarring. Make daily Vitamin E applications until healed

The riding of Blackheads

There are many ways to get rid of those nasty blackheads. Here are a few different methods.

edit Recommended StepsUse a mild exfoliate to remove cells and expose
Pat your face
Place a slightly warm compress on your face for approximately 10-15 minutes in order to soften the blackhead, making it easier to remove.
Pat your face again.
Place a cotton ball on the tip of each finger to avoid slipping, which could tear the skin and cause further damage.
Gently apply even pressure to both sides of the blackhead by pushing down, then up around the blemish. You're trying to apply the pressure from *underneath* the blackhead.

AHAsUse creams containing AHA's (Alpha Hydroxyl Fruit acids) like glycol-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and "expose" the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 4 days or so.

Lime Juice Make a lotion with equal parts of lime juice, almond oil and glycerin and apply on the face. It will not only cure blackheads but the discoloring spots on the face too.

Warm Honey a little honey and apply on the trouble area.
Wash off after 10-15 minutes.

Egg White
Beat an egg white.
Add 1 tsp honey.
With a cotton swab apply on the face and leave for half an hour.
Rinse with warm water and pat it dry.
Rub cooking oil on your face and take a cloth and rub it off.

Olive or almond oilRinse your face with warm water to open your pores.
Generously saturate a section of washcloth with olive or almond oil.
Place a dab of toothpaste (not the gel kind) on the oily washcloth.
Gently and thoroughly rub the toothpaste over your nose with the oily cloth. Do it twice if you have a lot of blackheads.
Massage it into your whole face if you like. Add more oil or toothpaste as necessary.
Wait about 5 minutes, then rinse your face thoroughly with hot water and a clean washcloth.

Steam and moisturizerPut a hot towel over your face for 10 minutes.
If you let it sit then the black heads can come to the surface.
Wash with warm water and natural face wash .
Close pores with cold water and apply oil-free moisturizer.
Then rub alcohol on it for five minutes

Lemon Juice & SaltAnother way to get rid of blackheads is to mix salt with lime juice and rub it all over your face.

Remember to ALWAYS rinse your face with cold water BEFORE you put oil or lotion on.
